Crossing the Charles Parade and Competition
Crossing assistance for participants
Those who are planning to participate in the parade and would like assistance crossing the bridge are invited to contact us via webform. All are encouraged to participate—please let us know how to help.
Accessible parking - Daytime
Parking spaces for carriers of a state-issued disability parking placard will be reserved in the following locations:

N10 Lot on Albany Street

Along Vassar Street in front of West Garage (please note: during the daytime, the shuttle will not make stops in front of West Garage; nearest stops will be located on Massachusetts Ave)
Guests may also opt to park in the other garages and lots on campus.
Spectator drop-off near event site
Sections of Memorial Drive will be closed to traffic on May 7 for the parade and competition, therefore prohibiting direct drop-off of guests at the event site. Only MIT’s campus shuttles will have access to Memorial Drive. Please refer to our daytime campus shuttle map for parking garages along the shuttle route. Albany and Stata Garages, as well as the N10 Lot, are all along the daytime shuttle route.
Mind and Hand: A Pageant!
Accessible parking - 6 PM and later
Parking spaces for carriers of a state-issued disability parking placard will be reserved in the following locations:

Meters along Massachusetts Ave in front of Buildings 1, 5, and W11

Along Vassar Street in front of West Garage
Guests may also opt to park in the other garages and lots on campus.
Guest access
Sections of Memorial Drive will be closed to traffic on May 7 for the pageant, therefore prohibiting direct drop-off of guests at Killian Court’s main entrance. Only MIT’s campus shuttles will have access to Memorial Drive. Please refer to our evening campus shuttle map for parking garages along the shuttle route.
The pageant will take place on the Killian Court lawn. Killian Court is wheelchair-accessible for pageant-goers: there are entrances with ramps from Buildings 3 and 4, as well as sidewalks along the edges of the court. Reaching the seating areas will require crossing the grass.

Assisted listening devices
Assistive listening devices will be available at the pageant upon request. Please see a pageant volunteer for assistance.
